In line with the new General Data Protection Regulations that came into effect on 25th May 2018 we will ask all clients (new and existing) to read and sign a new Privacy Notice. This is to make it easier for you to find out how we use and protect your information.
Puriton Paws Dog Grooming takes your privacy seriously and is committed to protecting your personal data. We need to know your personal information to provide you with a dog grooming service and we will not collect any personal data from you we do not need to provide and oversee this service to you.

Why we need your data
We need to know your basic personal data such as your name, address and contact details so that you can be contacted to collect your dog or if there is a problem during the groom.
We also need details about your dog including vet details, medical conditions and/or behavioural issues your dog may have. Without this data we cannot provide a safe grooming service.
What we do with your data
Puriton Paws Dog Grooming will be what is known as the ‘Controller’ of your personal data you provide to us. We only collect personal information about you which does not include any special types of data.
All the personal data we obtain is processed by Puriton Paws Dog Grooming and used for veterinary emergency information and record keeping.
No third parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so, or you have given written permission.
How do we store your personal data?
Your ‘Client’s Declaration’ form, ‘Booking In Record’ with your contact details and your dog’s details along with the ‘Privacy Notice Receipt’ form will be stored in a lockable cabinet.
Your contact number may also be saved as a ‘contact’ in a work phone for ease of use which is protected by a password and stored in the house when not in use.
How long we keep your personal data?
We are required by HMRC to keep your basic personal data for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed.
What are your rights?
If at any point you believe the data we hold on you is incorrect, you can request to see this data and have it corrected or deleted
